How to Disable Twitter Updates on Facebook

Your tweets and retweets are posted to your Facebook account if you connect the two services and enable this feature. While it can be useful if you want to post updates to your Facebook page, it can also annoy the other people on your Friends list. Your friends may also see the constant updates as spam if it appears on their news feed without any context. To disable the updates, you can either disable Twitter posts on Facebook or disconnect the two accounts.

Step 1

Sign in to your Twitter account, and then click the gear-shaped "Settings & Help" button.

Step 2

Select "Settings" from the drop-down list, and then click "Profile" from the left sidebar.

Step 3

Click the "Login to Facebook" button, and then sign in to Facebook using your username and password.

Step 4

Clear the check boxes next to "Post retweets to Facebook," "Post to my Facebook Profile" and "Post to my Facebook page" to disable all Twitter updates on Facebook.
