How to turn off Windows automatic updates

Automatic Windows updater keeps your software up-to-date, it can be annoying because often the Windows updates makes you reboot your system in the midst of doing something important.

Here is how to turn it OFF, same steps apply if you want to turn it ON again:

Windows XP

Control Panel �-> System ��> �Automatic Updates� tab  �->Turn off Automatic Updates.

Windows 7

1. Click the start button
2. Search �Windows Update� and click
3. Click �Change Settings� (left side)
4. Click the drop down and select �Never check for updates (Not recommended)�.
