How to Remote Block Your MTN SIM
Card:
MTN has streamlined the process to make it accessible to everyone, even for those with limited technical knowledge.
Dialing Options:
· Dial *123*7*4# from any MTN phone.
Alternatively, dial *123# (MTN's
self-service USSD dial).
Follow the prompts by inputting '7' for Self-Service, and then '4' for Block Stolen or Lost SIM.
Choose Your Method:
You will be presented with two options to block your SIM card:
a. MTN Secure PIN:
Enter your MTN Secure PIN (the same PIN used for MTN Share).
b. Security Questions:
Answer three security questions to validate ownership of the line.
If the answers are correct, the line will be blocked.
Incorrect answers will prompt a visit to the nearest MTN Store for
assistance.
Successfully Blocked SIM:
Once your SIM is successfully locked, no activities can be carried out on it. If you need to reactivate or get a SIM swap, you can visit the MTN office.
